Dear RIOT community,

we will have a summit in 2024: On September 5th and 6th at University of Vienna.

Following the community day innovation of 2023’s summit, September 7th will be a hackathon day: Let’s start putting the ideas we exchanged into code together.

The summit website has all relevant details.

What are next steps?

Updates will be posted to this thread, and as usual to our fediverse account and other social media.

While I probably will be unable to make it, I want to thank the community for putting up the dates so early! This really helps people plan.

There is now more information on the hackathon day.

Registration for the RIOT summit is now open. Participation is free, but registration is required. We also have a first set of speakers and talks listed, ranging from hardware and boot topics to social and privacy aspects.

Hi and welcome to our forum @culyun! Yes, the talks will be available later on our youtube channel, but you can also register for remote participation (it’s free) and we will send you a link to join the Zoom session for a live feed.

So what are the dates for 2025?

September 3-5, 2025 in Dresden.

The Summit 2026 will take place in Grenoble, also around Sep.
