Task force ping

Hey guys,

trying a new idea: task force pings.

Every task force: please give a short status update.

I'll start as only member of the timer task force:

- requirements collection seems complete - some thought has gone into actual implementation - stalled for lack-of-time reasons

Hi Kaspar, The organizational issue [1] for the NSTF gives a good overview I think. At least I try to keep it current from the overview I have.
