This is a bugfix release for RIOT 2026.04. Please refer to the 2026.04 release notes for the new features and changes in that release.
In #22315, a bug was discovered that has been present since 2025.10, which caused non-docker build failures when using the release archive instead of cloning the repository. This bug was fixed and required a new minor release.
