Planning a new weekly meeting slot

At the General Assembly this year, we decided to open the weekly coordination meeting to everyone instead of just maintainers.

However, this came up in the first place because attendance is low and many maintainers find the current schedule confusing. So, let’s first find a meeting slot. As per usual, let’s go from the coarse to the more grained and decide on a day and then on a time in a second round. Since most of the community is based in Europe, all times (and thus also starts of days) are based on CET.

We tried to do alternating meetings so more people can attend, but that confused more than it helped, so we only pick one date this time.

Ah, I did not set an end date. Let’s say 2025-09-12T14:00:00Z. Then we start searching for the time.

Ok, I misunderstood @maribu. He wanted to have the three options for the second poll for every time. Since the poll tool in the forum does not support that, I used the TUD dudle for that: DuD-Poll - RIOT Weekly - Poll. Please fill that out until 2025-09-26T14:30:00Z.

Times are still CET/CEST. Use the following key for the meaning of each option:

  • ✔ Would join, even if the agenda is not that interesting.
  • ? Would only arrange to join when the agenda is interesting.
  • ✘ Would not be able to arrange to join due to mandatory other obligations, if my vote is not picked.

@mcr I’ve transferred your votes from the old poll to the new one. Hope that was ok.

Good. I think that I’m still good with the answer. There are maybe some ? for Monday, as there are regular conflicts on Monday “mornings” for me. But, I think just leave my votes as they are.

From the ✔ there is a tie between Friday, 11:00, and Friday, 15:00. However, since Friday, 15:00 has more ? votes, let’s go with Friday, 15:00.
