2025.10 Release Debrief
- benpicco: a bit delayed due to other factors
- benpicco: no outstanding feature additions
- maribu: manual tests found some regression, some of them fixed (~80%), but not all of them
- tom: which ones?

- Soft release encompases some rust command
- Says it should be no-op (no update to Cargo.lock, etc), but it isn’t
- maribu: ping chrysn, has been helpful in the past
Outlook on Upcoming 2026.01 Release
- Leandro: skimmed through PR, didn’t see high impact, let me know, if there is anything
- Leandro: would try to hold dates (end of next week hard freeze)
- mikolai: maybe get unicoap server PR in before hard-freeze
- Leandro: not touching other modules, so fine with me
- carl: will try my best, many other deadlines
- Leandro: Cargo.lock changes when updating; what actions needed?
- chrysn: Should be a PR to update those, looking at it.
- chrysn (notes/chat only, following up): For this release we should skip this. There are issues with the latest release that went unnoticed, and when Marian did notice, we rolled back, and the latest version on crates.io has subtle problems.

- Marian: API doc is not very welcoming, guides site is, could we shift guide.riot-os.org to doc.riot-os.org
- Marian: links to API doc have been updated to api.riot-os.org, which work regardless of changing what doc.riot-os.org defaults to or not
- Ann: build a PoC with redirect button on 404 page, doc/starlight: add custom 404 page · RIOT-OS/RIOT@23e88dc · GitHub
