Network refactoring

Hello RIOTers,

Concerning the network refactoring, do you have a TODO list which lets us see the progress? We’re looking forward to using it with the SAMR21 board and hope it will be finished soon. Is there a deadline set for this?

Hello Baptiste, since I was mostly in charge of the refactoring last year and we want to split up this task this year a little bit, I’m currently in the process of compiling such a TODO list/progress report. Hope I have something to show end of the week.

Maybe we can discuss a tentative schedule and set some milestones for the refactoring during a (PlaceCam) conf call this week? What do you think?

On the same MCU – how critical is it to stick to 1024 byte kernel stack. Can we play with it? Reducing this size fits the rpl udp in 32KB but as yet not sure how stable it will be.

How about making the milestone setting part of the bi-weekly virtual meeting next week? I guess more interested parties (me among others) can attend then :wink:

I would like to attend the meeting in order to see the progress and ask some questions, if necessary, at the end of the meeting. When is it planned? Btw, is PlaceCam a free software? It seems to have only 30 days trial …

we've also got a Google calendar (embedded on the website under www.riot-os.org#community) you might be interested in: https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=k3ql8setv7l48ofnol0tfuu6ts%40group.calendar.google.com

In case you are using a Google account for calendaring you could also import the calendar (in the calendar view add a new calendar with the URL k3ql8setv7l48ofnol0tfuu6ts@group.calendar.google.com).

Hello, I finally got to it to compile a TODO list for the tasks at hand: https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/issues/2278. As a somewhat vague deadline I set the next release for now.
