Can the Atmel IO1 Xplained Extension board be power off once initialized?

Hi everyone! I’m using SAMR21XPRO and SAMR30XPRO with IO1 Xplained board. I found that my current consumption goes hi if I plug IO1 board to my SAMR21 (without initialized). after I goes to pm_lowest, the power consumption is higher than when IO1 is not plugged. Is here a method I can use to stop powering IO1 when I set my board to sleep mode?

You can have a look at the schematic of this module here. There is nothing we can really do on RIOT side to improve the current consumption.
