I think this is a bug. Googling a bit, it seems that mingw doesn’t provide EOVERFLOW error code but EFBIG instead. Can you open an issue for this ?

As stated in my other mail already, RIOT native does not (and due to technical reasons never will) run on Windows.
But maybe the experimental Linux on Windows feature (only available on Windows 10 by activating the MS “insider” program) could make this possible. It’s like running Ubuntu on Windows
