the poll is closed and in a very decision Thomas' PR for integrating OpenWSN into RIOT (#508 openwsn pkg support - https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/508) got elected as the PR of the month January!
Congratulations, Thomas! You'll receive your trophy as soon as possible. (Most likely after the IETF.)
Cheers, Oleg
P.S. We have already seven nominations [1] for the month February and still three days left to mark your favorite PR of this month in the Github issue tracker or nominate it here on the mailing list.

Dear all,
thanks a lot! Again this PR stands on the shoulders of two giants, the RIOT and the OpenWSN communities.
Thanks again and see you all soon! Best, Thomas
Dear rioters,

it seems that February was a month full of many very valuable contributions for RIOT. I've gathered 10 PR nominations from the issue tracker and created an according poll. Since I was not too satisfied with the easypolls web site, I decided to give micropoll a try: http://micropoll.com/a/mpview/1179651-3884261
The vote is gonna be closed next Sunday, March 7 right after the 6LoWPAN/CoAP plugtest.
Cheers, Oleg
P.S. Please recall that everyone is allowed to nominate any PR that one considers as an outstanding contribution. Just assign the corresponding label in Github's issue tracker - and don't hesitate to do so for your own PRs as well: you probably know best how hard it was to implement the stuff.
Dear rioters,
sorry for the delay, but plugtests and CeBIT kept me from revealing the winner of the PR of the month February earlier.
The winner this is... Kévin Roussel for #685 Panic - https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/685
Congratulations, Kévin, and please let me know to which address we should send your trophy!
Cheers, Oleg
P.S. The results are displayed at http://www.micropoll.com/a/mpresult/1179651-3884261
Thanks a lot! But what kind of trophy is it? Do you need a e-mail address, or a "snail mail" address?
Best regards,

For the prize we need a snail mail address, so I'd suggest that you unicast that to me.
Cheers, Oleg
Well, you can send it to the lab:
Attn: Kvin Roussel Equipe Madynes INRIA Nancy Grand-Est 615, rue du Jardin Botanique 54600 Villers-ls-Nancy France
Thanks, and best regards.

Dear rioters,
due to the plugtests and CeBIT demo in March, it seems to have been rather a month of fixing than of introducing innovative features. Hence, there was only one PR labeled as PR-award-nominee which makes a poll kinda senseless. Thus, the winner of the PR of the month for March 2014 is Hauke for his #932 Import of STM32F3discovery (Cortex-M4) port [1]
Great work, Hauke and congratulations!
Cheers, Oleg
Hi,
as there was no competition, we can skip the trophy. We see, plugtests and demos make things much easier ;).
Cheers matthias
Dear rioters,
I totally forgot about the poll for the PR of the month for April.
We have only two nominations: #961 - unittests: Unittests for core module data strutures - https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/961 by Martine #1000 - core: prefix API functions correctly - https://github.com/RIOT-OS/RIOT/pull/1000 by me
I've created the poll here: http://www.poll-maker.com/poll96453x2eD64687-4
