broken archives?

Hi,

I tried to consult this mailing list archives, but the archive link on this page: https://lists.riot-os.org/mailman/listinfo/devel return a 404

Julien

Hi Julien does it still do that for you? On my end, it works perfectly well. Best, Emmanuel

still,

it’s sending me to http://riot-os.org/pipermail/devel/ with a NGINX 404 page

Actually, I get the 404 if I use this URL https://riot-os.org/mailman/listinfo/devel But it works fine (excluding the certificate  if I use that URL https://lists.riot-os.org/mailman/listinfo/devel Do you have the 404 for both on your end?

I am also seeing this for http://riot-os.org/pipermail/devel/. The root site (http://riot-os.org) still works.

I think the URL is configured wrong in mailman. https://lists.riot-os.org/pipermail/devel/ works for me.

As an alternate archive you can also use gmane: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.riot.devel

The first link is indeed not supposed to work.

Yes, you're right. I recently run a mailman script to fix the links from http to https, but apparently failed twice. First, I forgot to specify the host name at all (which Olaf Bergmann pointed me to) and then I used the wrong domain.

Should be fixed now. Thanks for the hints.

Cheers, Oleg

Can we fix the SSL certificate?

Hi!

Can we fix the SSL certificate?

I have to dig into SNI, but it's on my list.

Hi!

Can we fix the SSL certificate?

Better now?

Better now?

No. The new cacert.org - signed cert is not in the root trust store of most browsers - http://wiki.cacert.org/InclusionStatus I think you’ll need to purchase one unfortunately.

Hi!

Mostly because I don’t think that paying money makes anything more secure.

I would argue it makes it marginally more secure - you probably aren’t getting MITM’d by a script kiddie at the coffee shop, which immediately my first thought every time I see the red warning in Chrome.

Does the project have a paypal address for donations? I can send you $10 if that’s what the money would go towards.

Well, even at the coffee shop you could still verify the fingerprints, but I get your point (even though I doubt that many people will visit the RIOT developer mailing list archive from a coffee shop or a similar place).

No - at least not yet. We're still in the process of setting up a legal entity for RIOT. Let me check if we can do the same trick as for https://ci.riot-os.org and getting a DFN verified cert.
